The design of the highly unique MTG-B2000YS was inspired by storm chasers—intrepid meteorologists who charge headlong into severe weather such as tornadoes and super typhoons. The frame is constructed of multiple layers of glass fiber and carbon, treated with a luminescent coating that creates the image of a night sky with gathering storm clouds and dazzling lightning. The stainless steel bezel is ion plated in two separate colors, then finished with beautiful gradations to reflect the ever-changing weather conditions. Basic Information
The striking multi-coloured bezel reflects the appearance of the sky with rapidly changing weather conditions, from a calm blue sky to a violent storm with lightning and tornadoes. The coating is applied to the stainless steel polygonal bezel, with a blue IP coating on the upper half and a silver IP coating on the lower half. The entire bezel, including the lugs, is then finished in rainbow colours, creating a stunning gradient effect. Blue accents further accentuate the design, including a newly developed coloured vapor deposition effect on the inset dial at 8 o’clock.

The band is made of soft urethane, providing flexibility and durability. Molded with a multi-colored resin blend, it recreates dark, cloudy skies, storms, gales and other severe weather conditions, including super typhoons, severe lightning and tornadoes.

The bezel is made by rolling multiple sheets of carbon fiber and fiberglass, then carving them into complex shapes. This multi-layered design uses a black base with multi-colored lines, representing the sky with dark storm clouds gathering. The luminescent finish applied to the white layer glows in the dark, reminiscent of lightning piercing the night sky.

MT-G's unique Dual Core Guard structure protects the movement against shock, centrifugal force, and vibration with Triple G Resist. The monocoque case is made of carbon fiber-reinforced resin housed in a metal frame connected to the bezel, achieving high strength, airtightness, and reduced weight at the same time.
